Yes. Auckland drop-off is available by appointment in New Lynn. SmartGear NZ does not operate as a normal walk-in retail store, so please arrange a time before visiting.

Yes. SmartGear NZ can assist with device buyback from across New Zealand. Customers outside Auckland can contact us for instructions before sending devices.
Do you wipe data from traded-in devices?
Customers should remove personal data, accounts and passwords before trade-in. SmartGear NZ can also assist with secure data wipe support where required.
Can I trade in a damaged or faulty device?
Some damaged or faulty devices may be accepted, but the value will be lower. Please tell us about cracked screens, battery issues, water damage, account locks, repair history or any other faults before quoting.
How fast do I get paid?
Payment timing depends on inspection and approval. Once your device has been checked, tested and approved, SmartGear NZ can arrange bank payment or store credit.
